Hello,

My Father was a huge electronics and audio fan... after he passed away, I have been left with a lot of stuff to get rid of (sell).. My question is.. how do I determine a good saleable price for this stuff? My mom is in need of money so I don't want to hang on to it forever.

I have:
Denon DVD2910
Denon Multiroom DRA-685
Definitive Tower Speakers BP2006
Definitive Center Speaker procenter100
Definitive Sub Prosub100

Thanks much..
Carrie

Sorry to hear about your father.

Call some of the audio dealers near you- some may have the Orion Blue Book. It's a trade-in guidewith list price, low and high average trade-in prices and high/low used selling prices.

If you have the box, packing and owner's manuals, it brings more money, even if they're in rough condition but the equipment is clean.

Good advice, I would just add amazon.

some pretty nice stuff there...maybe a little dated...but if you are comfortable you might try placing a craigslist ad...i'm sure some people here could give you some pricing.

Sorry to hear about your father.
The prices below are the average sale values from Audiogon. Please note that the history for these prices goes back to 2002 or earlier (except the DVD, which was 2005). The economy and simply being older has taken today's sale values down a bit below these averages, but I'd probably list at these rates which gives you a little negotiating room to still get a fair price.
On the plus side, assuming your dad bought these new and has taken good care of them, they are probably in better condition than average.
