Thats not too good if nobody ever heard of them...i don't think they fall in the "hi-fi" category...

will stick with the axioms i guess..

I've not heard of them either. I guess a little more inverstigation is needed on your part to see if this is a legit company. Just because no one hear at Audioholcis have heard of them doesn't automatically make them a White Van speaker. Dig a little to see what you can find out. They maybe legit or they may not be.

I did take a look at the website and I'm ignoring all of the acaldes that is being advertised on their web site. I noticed one center channel they had moved teh tweeter higher in the horizontal plane for better dispersion which is always good. But on the other hand, I saw another center channel with rear firing ports which makes it placement really tricky as you don't want to place the centre channel into an enclosed space.

I've seen them on Ubid.com several times. That's the only place. Nice prices, almost too good to be true. They don't strike me as classic white van but as was said; If no one has heard of them..

Have you heard of Gershman Acoustics or Focus Audio?

Very few in here know of these brands but given my options, I would choose them over B&W, RBH or Paradigm. The point I'm trying to make is that a little digging is required 1st to see if they are legit or not. Just because its not been heard off on this forum before doesn't automatically relegate it to the "do not touch pile".

I looked up the height and weight, of the PA-8F Tower Speaker.
Size: 40.55" x 10.35" x 12.2" (H x W x D)

Weight: 47 pounds each.

That seems a little lite for a forty inch tall enclosure.
A heavy enclosure could equate to a better enclosure.

As a comparison, I have a set of eighteen inch tall bookshelves, and they weigh 28 lbs. each.

My first reaction, is to go with the Axiom's.
IMHO

There were a couple folks over at AVS forums that have them and perferred them over the BIC Acoustechs. They did say that the sub was not up to par with the H-100 however.

My PSB Image T45s weigh in at 37 lb /each and its dimensions are 7 x 36 x 14 5/8" (W x H x D) .

47 lbs seems like a good weight

The more I think about it.
Check their return policy, if they let you audition them for 30 days or so.
Try them, give them a listen at home, it will give you a chance to see the build quality in person. Maybe you'll like them.

They are legit. Many people confused them with BIC because they look similar and use the same distributors. They are for the budget minded, the suggested retail posted in the link is higher than I have ever seen for them.

Umm, yes as a matter of fact I have heard of those brands. I would venture a guess that many of the members here have heard of them as well.
If I understand you correctly, you are comparing Gershman and Focus to B&W and Paradigm. No kidding. Not a fair comparison.
Today, however, we're comparing an relatively unheard of name to Axiom.
Is that a fair comparison? Who knows?
My intent was to reiterate the fact that no one has heard of them and their reputation was in question.

My intent was to say investigate and not automatically dismiss what is not well known which happened all to quickly with this thread.

I first, would be supprised that a speaker would be as good for half the price. It is difficult to compare both products unless you have them both in front of you of course. Just the fact that nobody here has seen or heard them is probably the best info so far on these speakers...I guess i'll bite the bullit and spend the 3 G's on my next set of speakers....I just got My Pioneer Elite VSX-82 by UPS yesterday...It's longing for some 5.1 freinds...:eek::D
