My father gave me a home theater subwoofer, I know he paid 3 or $400 for it as he was building his house. He didn't actually install it until 2 years had passed and it would randomly (usually 3am) make a very loud discharge sound which would wake him, warranty had expired, couldn't correct problem so he unplugged it and bought new. I simply put it on a switch were it is only supplied power when music plays problem solved!
Anyway my problems begin with not knowing what i'm doing, then there is no manufacturers or distributers name anywere on the outside of unit to try and get support I currently have it connected to a cheap cambridge surround sound system and it performs spectacularly, unfourtunatly nothing else does so I would like to connect it to a stereo reciever.
I have no idea what hi level in / hi level out does, or how to utilize it. I can assume that line is is audio input but do not know what line out is for. With the surround sound it was simple just a line from subwoofer output to the line in on unit. My reciever does not have a subwwofer out only stereo and a/b speakers. I have searched for the answers to these simple questions and not found what im looking for I hope someone in this forum can either answer these questions or direct me to a site that can
