Hi all! Total newb here.
We're building a house that will have a surround system in the living room and a 'whole house' stereo system in 4 different rooms. We are wanting to use a powered sound bar/base in the master bedroom to use with the tv (for both effect and to help make voices more clear).
The master bedroom is also one of the rooms that we planned to have as part of the whole house stereo. So, the plan was to have a rotary volume knob in the bedroom (connected to the AVR in the living room) and 2 ceiling speakers.
Is there a way to use that powered sound bar/base for both the tv and the whole house stereo? That would eliminate my need for the rotary knob and 'wife unfriendly' ceiling speakers. If so, what features do I need to look for when selecting the sound bar/base and the AV receiver? What kind of cables would I need to have the builder run?
Budget is $500. Thanks.
