Powered center or not?

Hi all,

I'm looking to match a center channel to my PM 700s. I've looked into the clr 2300 and 2500, but given that I have a 15" def tech sub, is a powereed center necessary? The 2000 and 2002 are appealing but the 2000 is huge.

Thanks in advance for your comments. FYI, I have a five channel setup and with BPX's in the rear and an old Polk center.

Ill tell you what,I just hooked up my CLR 2300 and all I can say is WOW!!!

Does it make a difference...HUGE!!

I had a Pro Cinema 1000 and this just blows it away.Dont hesitate, this to me is an upgrade worth having.

Now stop what youre doing and go get that speaker!!:D

To Power or Not to Power the Center

Thanks for that Max. I guess I have no choice than to go with the powered, huh? :) The 2300 it is!!

Yes if you have room. I have a like new CLR 2500 for sale that I have never used because I have my Mitsubshi 46 LCD sitting on a corner stand with no place to put the center channel. So the speaker went right back in the box and has never been used. You may e-mail me if you are interested.
