power output questions: Marantz vs. Denon

I'm looking to get my first a/v receiver. Specifically, I'm interested in Marantz 5004/6004 and Denon 2310/3310. I noticed that Denon receivers typically have listed more watts than the Marantz. How accurate of a comparison variable is that? In other words, is there a big difference between 90 watts and 110 watts? Other than just watts, what else should I look at to compare power output?

I guess while I'm asking, are there any reasons, other than the better warranty, that I should lean towards a Marantz over the Denon. FYI, I'm aware that they are basically the same company. Is any one easier to set up than the other?

Any other thoughts and comments would be appreciated, thanks.

They're two separate companies, even if they're under the same corporate umbrella, so they can design their won models. A little more is a little better but that's as far as it goes. You may have a bit more headroom at any level but as Jerry posted, it's not going to be a big difference.
