Power off for Scientific Atlanta Explorer

Is it possible to power off an explorer other than by unplugging the unit? My 4250hd runs very hot for an enclosed space. I wouldn't mind waiting a few minutes at the beginning of each viewing session.

I know mine goes into a power save mode at some point, but I don't know how to actually power it off beyond yanking he plug.
