122 dB, I hope he was smart enough to wear ear-plugs. Here is a picture of my Hsu ULS-15s averaging around 120, this is only a couple feet away from them though. They could probably get louder, but I don't like pushing them or any other of my speakers or subs to the absolute limit. Btw, I was wearing ear plugs in this picture.

I have a vtf2 in my living room and I dont turn it 1/2 way up and its too much.... and in my 2.2 systems I use the sealed WD subs, and they get too loud 25% of the way up...
IMO too much bass takes you out of the movie, and with music I want it to sound rite, not bass heavy just for the sake of volume...

Guessing that the. Person in the video has a big power amp to keep up with all the bass

While it seems we are not so susceptible to hearing loss in the low frequencies, earplugs are not as effective for low frequencies (and forget about ear muffs):
That's true, but it was a tune playing and not just a tone, so there was more than just bass blasting. The bass was very hot though, and comprised most of the sound, but at 120 dB, I'll take whatever noise reduction I can get.

i actually have a video of my old system (the one i had when i had just joined) on youtube, it got to about 95db which is actually a bit impressive considering it was 2 sony bookshelf speakers and a 4" woofer. maybe i should do a new video with my newer system...

anyways here it is.... rather embarrassing now....
