Power conditoner/surge protect. decision ?

I plan to add a good power cond/surge prot. to my system soon.I only have a strip now.I think i have narrowed my choice between the Belkin pureav pf31 and the panamax 5100.Both could be obtained in my price range.Can anyone help me out in deciding which would be the better of the 2.Just so you know i sometimes get momentary power surges here in miami,fl.So i would like the best protection i can afford.Thanks

I don't know anything about the Belkin, but I know they make good stuff. I have the 5100 and I'm very happy with it. I only wish it had a few more high current outlets to handle my amps too.
