Power cable replacement

Question: If I've lost the power cable for my receiver, can I use a power cable with the same ends from another piece of equipment? i.e. is there a "standard" for detachable cables? If not, what are the factors that must be considered when looking for a replacement cable. I look in the book and there are specs for the power supply (volts, amps, hertz, and watts), but nothing for the cord.

Thank you in advance for your guidance? :)

OK...but you're gonna miss out on the Virtual Dynamics' signature technologies, Dynamic Filtering and Speed of Light.
They really do give a better sound over stock audio cables. At least a 5% increase in slew rate from Dynamic Filtering and at least 6% from Speed of Light. When the two are combined they can measure at least a 12% gain in slew rate! (Quote from site)
WOW...I mean that's gotta count for something...

Have an extra computer power supply cable handy? I dunno if you're on the Onkyo yet or still the Marantz, but every Onkyo I've seen uses those.
