Hi all,

i'm thinking seriously about using the Yamaha RX-V4600 as a prepro with the Musical Fidelity A5 power amplifier for the frontal speakers and let the Yammy power the surround and central speakers.

The main speakers will be Audiovector Mi3 Avantgarde (Impedance 8 Ohms, sensitivity 91 dB and power handling 300W) and i will be 13ft away.

Do you think it will be a great idea or maybe i'll face some problems?

Many thanks in advance.

no doubt you'll be better off with an external amp, but have you tried the 4600 yet? I would try it before you got that amp to see if you really need it. If you have a big room, and like it loud, I would get it.

I just got my 4600, and as a pre is would be very good.
