power amp with pc

I am currently running my overnight sensations off a cheap lepai amp... if I were to pick up an adcom gfa 535 from ebay... would I need a pre to run it off my pc? or can i just plug it right in?

You might need a mini-jack to RCA adapter, depending on the type of output connectors provided by your computer. Otherwise, it'll just plug in.

oh i have the adapter, i know how to physically connect it. Im just wondering if my pc will work as a pre amp.

yes it will, except on Windows start-up sound, which might wake the dead if you know what I mean
