power amp to supplement sony str k 750p

I'm looking for a Amp to supplement my sony str k750p. This unit is fine for movies but falls flat on its face when the volume is turned up .The speakers to be used are klh av55 rated at 325 watts.THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! :

What kind of budget do you have, and does your receiver have pre-outs?

Earthquake, and Parasound are my to favs. Bryston if you want to go HIGH END.

Parasound Classic would probably be the best choice for money and sound combined. Plus the have 2 chan amps and Earthquake has 3,5, and 7 chans. Bryston has 2 chan as well.

I looked in the manual and didn't find pre-outs.There are inputs for cd,md/tape in and out,dvd,vid 1 and 2 ,sub out . my budget is around $300

If there are no pre-outs, then you cannot use an external amp.
