potential 4306 problem on sub output

I have now read on avs forums 2 instances where the 4306 stops sending LFE+main output via the sub output. I had this problem 1 week after installing my 4306. Then the 4306 began malfunctioning in iPod mode as well. As it turned out with mine, the sub was non-funtional with any input! I ended up having to replace both the 4306 and sub unit. This was 2 months ago and both are working fine. The consensus at Tweeter was that the 4306 malfunctioned and bombed the LFE input on the sub. I got new units for both. Just an FYI. I've had no problems since.

Denon 4306 Dead Inputs

Sounds similar to my issue. Yesterday, my third day with the receiver, I popped in a DVD and got no sound. With the complexity of the receiver my first thought is what do I have set wrong. When I couldn’t get it to work I noticed that I have no input signals on left side of the display, not even on the tuner. The source won’t change from the remote and if I change source with the function knob the master volume control becomes inoperative. I did a 10 minute unplug and then several hard processor resets. Still no inputs at all, not even the speaker set up tones will output. I’m shipping the receiver back today. I pray that my twin SVS subs are OK in case I have the exact same problem as you.

Sounds like plenty of these units are dying on the table. Hope your subs are OK, and that sucks to have to ship something. One reason I spent the extra $ to buy local, service. When my problems started, the receiver wouldn't even allow a hard reset. Ah well, glad I got the 5 year warranty!
