Hi,

I believe someone can help me with this problem. I saw all the videos and pictures of an ideal surround sound setup. My problem is the following. My living room has an rectangular shape. The long wall at the back is used for 2 large sofas (only place to put them). The front wall has the screen fixed in tbe middle with the front speakers directly next to it.

My big problem is the surround sound speakers at the back. My normal sitting position is on the right hand sofa meaning my ear is less than a meter away from the right speaker but the left surround is 2,5meters away.

Will the audyssey setup mic be able to rectify this?

You can rectify that without Audessey by adjusting the levels and setting the distances yourself too, but yes, it will be able to handle that situation.

Thanks again for your advice! Set up those old speakers we spoke about and..... a steal at $250! Those magnat floorstanders are pretty sweet too. They have an added small sub in the back so looking to set up the crossover of the sub to take on the right amount of bass from them.... Or wil audessey take care of that as well?

Thanks again for your guidance in the whole process!
