So wife decided she wants one of those GPS things that you put on your dash and can take around with you for Christmas. Does anyone have any experience with these things and which is a good one? As far as budget I don't really know since I don't know what buys you a good one. So far she really liked the Magellan Maestro 4350 but it's hard to find info on these things online. She doesn't care about voice command and all that but she does want bluetooth capability to connect it to her iphone.

Gus I just went through this literally this past weekend. I just ordered the Garmin 760 off of EBAY. I got for $277 brand new from a power seller with Ebay's 10% of coupon. I literally spent a few hours over the course of 2-3 days trying to figure out the best one to get. Do I need to spend $150 or $800? From everything I read, all the reviews, all the user opinions... I determined that first... Garmin was the way to go. My neighbor kid works at Best Buy and he says he get a lot of returns from the Megellans for all kinds of reason, and the TomTom's come back because they return odd routes. He said that even people who bring back a Garmin jsut exchange for a different Garmin model. They seem to have leaps and bounds better reviews from users than Megellan or TomTom. Second, the Nuvi 760 seems to be that perfect sweet spot of features and price. Give a good look... I think it'll do everything you need it to.
