Greetings all, just a quick question,
I've been given an old pair of Sonys to repair (SS-CCP2),
R.H. unit has damaged woofer diaphram... bad acne maybe.
Not being at work at the moment and not being able to use/bribe engineers any household solution? anyone can suggest?

We need pictures. However if the damage is extensive, you will have to see if he driver can be reconed. The other option is an exact replacement if you can find one.

I suspect those speakers are at the end of the road.

If the cone is not too bad then you could patch reinforce it. it might cure the popping and as long as it's hidden behind the grille the cosmetics wont matter.
