popping from RP LCD

I have a Sony Grand WEGA KF50WE620 tv. Recently I have heard a high pitched popping sound. It doesn't happen that often, I've heard it 3-4 times in the past couple weeks. There is no degrade in picture or brightness and the lamp light is not on. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Have you tried putting a mouse trap behind the TV?

Don't know if this will help you but I had a similar problem with a DLP projector. The bulb was shorting and had to be replaced. The popping sound sounds like two wires shorting together. Wish I could help more but I'm not a big fan of LCD so I don't do much research on them.
