Folks, I just got home and cooked a Poppa Murphy's pizza. It was a meat combo of some sorts and only cost me $12.99! This was the first pizza I have ever gotten from them. Let me go on record by saying-it won't be my last either.

For those of you that may not be familiar w/Poppa Murphy's here is some info for you. Basically, they make your pizza in the store and you simply take it home and cook it. By doing so, you get a pizza on the cheap. What surprised be was just how good it was. I mean, this thing was a monster of a pizza if I ever saw one.:D:eek: It was a stuffed crust pizza which is basically (2) pizzas in one pie!

Funny thing is, I actually thought I could eat it all by myself-yeah right!:rolleyes: This thing was HUGE. I ended up eating (2) pieces and put (2) more up for my supper. The rest I took over to my sister's house and they too could not believe how big it was. Needless to say, my Nephew barely ate (2) pieces and like me he is a BIG eater. Honestly folks, it was all I could do to eat (2) pieces myself.:eek:

In closing, if you have a Poppa Murphy's near you be sure to give them a try. You might just be surprised at how good it actually is. Just don't go over-board like I did the first time...........Lmao!!!!!:p:eek: BTW, the pizza I bought was one of the more expensive ones they offer. The others are even more affordable!

Cheers,

Phil

We have a Pappa Murphy's around, but I've never seen a Poppa Murphy's will have to keep my eyes out.

Personally most Pies are lousy IMO, but I know a couple of decent places in my area.

Yeah, I agree that the pies are a bit much. Next time, I will just opt for a regular pizza instead. ;);) You ought to give them a try-you will be glad you did. :):)

Hey hey hey, I will be getting Poppa Murphy's for now on! Especially, after watching what those (2) employees of Domino's did. It was absolutely disgusting to say the least.:mad: I doubt I will ever eat there again. WTF were they thinking?:confused: Go Poppa go! :):)

HA..HA..HA..No kidding, actually Domino's pizza used to be a lot better in the early 80's, heck it was named the official pizza of the "White House" back then, but in light of the latest events, both "White House" and Domino's I believe they deserve each other..lol:D:D as far as I'm concerned. In regards of "Poopa Murphy" (just kidding) as someone that worked in bakery before (not an expert by any means) recommend allowing your pizza dough to rise a bit (30-45 min opened package) prior to baking for best results..just my own humble opinion.

Enjoy:)

I think that is a great idea. The edges of the crust were quite large. This pizza was at least 2 1/2"-3 1/2" thick!!!!!:eek: I did well to eat (2) pieces myself. The sad part is, I am a big eater.:rolleyes: But, on that one I wimped out.......hehe! :D:D

Thanks, Phil.

I had someone recommend that place to me, but I had quickly forgotten about it. I actually drive by it every day on my way home from work. I might just have to give it a try. :)

Just make sure that they don't have two new employees that have experience and are on the run from the law with very clear nasal passages.

Please do, but don't get the stuffed pizza unless you and the Pooch are prepared to do some serious eating. That thing is a monster! :D:D If you do, be sure to let us know how you liked it. ;):);)

I usually bake a Papa Murphys pizza once a week and they are very good. I'd have to say my favorite pizza from them is the chicken garlic. Damnit now I want one!

My sentiment exactly. Coupons for that particular one is hard to come by where I live, but it's worth it even without one. I'll be getting one tomorrow for sure as I can't take this pizza talk anymore.:p:D
