Just keep in mind that the more people block our ads, the less revenues we earn to pay new writers for editorial content. Since we don't charge a membership fee to this site, viewing the ads for all this great content is a small sacrifice we hope all of our regular readers can appreciate.

Or we could add optional Premium membership which will disable ads for subscribers, whom gladly pay their share - I know I would....
Plus few nice things like bigger private messages limits, custom avatars and possibly even animated one ... etc etc....

This is something we are working on that will encompass even more than that!

Just use a modern browser that blocks popups...just don't block the rest of the ads :)

Is there a way to block it using Safari on the Ipad or smartphones (Andriod). It's almost impossible to hit the "X" with my fat fingers on one of those.

Unfortunately I dunno anything about the safari browser or the ipad. I also know nothing about android or smartphones - I still have a dumbphone :(

I dunno if there's a mobile firefox version for phones or whatever but if there is, I would imagine it would offer a popup blocker and other extensions just like the full browser.

I'm pretty sure Safari on the iPad has a built-in popup blocker-my iPhone 4 has it (iOS 4.3), so it's a pretty sure bet the iPad does as well. I'll double check my iPad when I get home.

Seriously, I have no life.
I'm using Firefox and that effin' popup is really annoying! Can't go back to the thread list without having to close it three times. That thing needs to go!

It's a gray box that covers about 75% of the screen with a line at the top that says something about "Brought to you by Audioholics.com". I didn't read what it's for and I don't want it popping up all the time. I have AdBlocker Plus and this can't be blocked- I tried.

Safari does indeed have a popup blocker (iPad 1st gen, iOS 4.3.3)-it's under the Safari settings in the Settings panel.
