I'll have to sneak out of the house under cover of darkness, embarrassed to be seen entering the movies to see Pompeii. Apparently a slave/gladiator (low class guy in the Roman world) is in love with a woman who is headed for an arranged marriage to a rich, corrupt Senator and the gladiator is going to save her from this fate. Meanwhile, at the edge of town, there's a volcano out there getting ready to blow everything for miles around to hell and back again.
Does all this sound familiar? Poor guy in love with a heartthrob who is marrying a rich guy in the context of a big famous disaster? I was reading the plot synopsis and realized that this movie should be called "Titanic With Lava". There will be 45 minutes of running and screaming, lots of big FX (a volcano in 3D!), but the big question is...the song...do they have a song that will get hammered into your brain for 6 months until you are so sick of it that you almost need to have it surgically removed?
