Polkaudio RTA 8t - are they good speakers?

I have a pair of Polkaudio RTA 8t speakers. Are they good high end speakers? Or are they just so-so.

My wife wants me to get rid of it. I wonder if I should keep them. She wants smaller ones that does not take much space. She thinks that they are too bulky.

I see some very skinny speakers in the stores. I wonder if they are any good compare to RTA 8t.

You advise is appreciated.

If you were asking about something you planned to buy, it would make sense. Because you own them, you can listen and decide for yourself if you like them or not. There is no "high end" except what you like.

If you check my signature you will see a pair of 17 yr old Polk RTA-8T speakers listed driven by listed equipment & have never sounded better.

They will stomp all over Bose 24/7/365.

I have listened to Bose & they are overpriced crap. Do you know the price you pay for those small cute speakers? AWFUL SOUND! They can only go up so high & down so low.

Hang on to your RTA 8T's. There are other much bigger speakers out there, believe me I know because I got the Polks because of their slim factor where I have them in a tight space.

I'm a woman & I have my speakers for their SOUND quality, not based on how small & hideable they are. That should be the only basis for judging speakers not size!
