Polk Rti8 Vs Axiom M80ti

I like my polk rti8's but at 0db on my yamaha 1500 just not loud enough for me. Would the yamaha be able to power the axiom M80ti's and would they be any louder then the polk

it's tough to say. the 80ti's are a 4 ohm speaker, and the Yammie is only "rated" for 6 and 8 ohm spakers... it might be louder for a while, but you'd be taking years off your receiver even with good ventilation and might void any warranty you have.

that money might be better spent on a hearing check.....
