I appreciate all the info I received in my first thread about ceiling / wall speakers! Now to my next decision...

Does anyone have experience comparing the Polk Rt800 towers to the Infinity Primus 250 towers? I currently have the polk 800's but was considering swapping them for some Infinity's. The Polks sound good but from what I understand the Infinity's are a little "brighter". The Infinity's seem to be comparable in specs, but their price is WAY less than the Polks....am I missing something?

I would choose the Infinity over Polk pretty much any day. I have the P363 towers myself.

I'm certain that the Infinity is a better speaker, but if it were me then I would probably be looking at an even bigger upgrade if I were considering an upgrade.

Yeah I agree. My doubt was that the Rt800's are a higher model within Polk than the Primus 250's are within the Infinity line. I guess my question is if the lower end infinity will be comparable with the higher end polk. I would pretty much be swapping them even steven, so I don't want to sell myself short getting rid of the polks.

You are missing the part where you listen to some Infinity's and choose them or the Polk's based on which ones you like best.

Obviously a side by side comparison would be the way to go. Unfortunately that isn't an option for me, unless you have any input on where to listen to two speaker pairs side by side that are 10 years old. It wont help much to listen to a new model polk vs. new model infinity of a different model.
