From reports from doro...no, they won't be 8ohm nominal, closer to 6, but no dips into the 2 ohm range. They'll be drivable with decent midfi gear with the caveat that you'll get more out of them the higher up the chain your front end is. There's a long thread on the Polk site dating back to when these were teased to us over a month ago, but the more recent posts have some good detail about the technology and goals. There's also a nine page pdf on the technical data. Pricing is $1500 for the books, ??? on the centers, ??? on the smaller towers, $4K on the larger towers.

"Two center channel models are offered in the flagship LSiM series. The larger LSiM 706c (SRP: $1,099 each) features the same AIR ring tweeter and E:M 3.5" mid-bass driver that characterizes the Dynamic Sonic Engine of the larger tower models, flanked by two ELM 6.5" mid-bass drivers with a rear port design. A smaller center channel model, the LSiM 704c ($699 each) features the same layout, only with ELM 5.25" mid-bass drivers. The LSiM 702f/x surround model (SRP: $749 each) completes the series for a multichannel setup, offering a ELM 3.25’ mid-range, 2 x 1.0” AIR ring radiator tweeters and a ELM 6.5” mid-woofer driver. All the speakers have been timbre matched for a perfectly blended and balanced acoustic environment."

These look very interesting and seeing how they won't be available until the 1st quarter of 2011, I would have enough time to stash the cash so to speak :D
I serched around for a pic of the centers and had little to no luck anyone have a link to the centers thanks sawz.

Yeah I would need to save up for them as well, but dang there is some good competition at the price of the those bookshelves.

I check his sales quite often and I must say those speakers don't last long sold, sold, sold, sold. I guess the only way to get Salks is to order them instead of hunting for the deals.

I've owned a couple of qwtl speakers and they were both awesome. Low levels will blow you away. If I get to where I can get some new speakers MLTLs might be my option
