Hi All,

Newbie seeking advice on which Polk model to choose from. This will be my 1st Home Theater system.
My wife wants cherry floorstanding speakers along with a limited budget, as a result I am limited on choices. These speakers look real sharp & work well with our existing room decor.

I want to know if it's worth it to upgrade from the 50's to 60's or 70's.
Currently, we probably have 50/50 split between listening to CD's & watching TV.

These speakers will paired with a Pioneer 1015 or Onkyo SR603X Receiver

Polk 50 =199 each
Polk 60 =279 each
Polk 70 = 399 each

Any feedback will greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

John

are you getting a subwoofer?

most of the time, I advise people to buy the best they can afford, that way you won't have the what if feeling (or buyer's remorse)

Yes - I'm purchasing a sub. This system is replacing a late 80's Sony rack system.(lol - Big bastard speakers)

Is a sub needed with 70's.

Thanks.
