Polk Monitor 50 & CS2 vs. Acoustech HT-75 & HT-65 vs. BIC DV736 & DV62CLR-S

First off, I'm new to this forum. I came here looking for some info on the Polk Monitor 50 speakers, and I liked the info I was finding in the forum so I joined!

So here's where I am at right now. Downstairs in my family room I currently have a setup with an Oknyo SR606 and Acoustech HT-75 towers and HT-65 center channel, along with a pair of Energy XL-S12 subs. And upstairs in my loft (theater-room-in-progress) I have a Yamaha RX-V1500 with BIC DV736 towers (w/Ed Frias mod) & DV62CLR-S Center, along with a single Velodyne CHT-12 sub.

My question is this: I found these Polk Monitor 50 speakers for just $189 delivered for a pair, and the CS2 center channel for $120 delivered - so I would be looking at $309 delivered for everything. I'm wondering which, if either, would be best replaced by the Polks? Or are my current setups of similar audio quality to the Polk setup? To my ears, the Acoustech speakers sound a lot more harsh than my BIC's and I don't really like that as much. So I'm leaning towards replacing the Acoustech set. How do those compare to the Polks? If it helps, I am going to be using them 90% for watching movies & TV (lots of HD & Blu-Ray stuff) and maybe 10% for music.

Any feedback from those who may have compared these before would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like your ears already decided for you. If those sound bad to you then I wouldn't ask someone on a forum to talk you out of it. Ultimately you are the one that is going to be listening to them so if you have a preference with what you have heard then stick to.
