Polk is running a promotion of 10%, least through OneCall.
I've heard the Lsi9's at the HE2003 show in SF, in Polk's room, and was stunned. I've heard lots and lots of speakers since then (every CES, CEDIA, and RMAF show), and I still recall them as being in the top 5 speakers. Unfortunately for me, I also think the Gallo 3.1s are in the top.
The system I'm considering is this:
LSi15 for the front ($1349! for pr)
LC265i in wall for the center ($389) (behind a perf Stewart 100" Firehawk)
Either LSiFX for side surrounds or a pair of LS265i ($459 pr).
2 LC65i for rear surrounds.
My room is 25x13 dedicated HT/music, with plenty of acoustic treatment (bass traps, absorbers at first reflections, and diffusers).
I have two Earthquake Supernova subs.
Receiver is Denon 4806, though I'm intending in the future to either use it as (or get) a pre/pro and experiment with either Sunfire, Earthquake, ATI amps in the 200w/c range.
The alternative is a much more expensive Gallo system (3.1s, AVs, and Adiva Tis), propably on the order of $7k.
I don't think I need the extra bass of the LSi25's, given the room size and existing subs.
I listen to all variety of music, but mainly jazz, folk, world, with some classical and rock. Of course, lots of movies...
Comments from both Lsi owners and Gallo owners (esp. if you have a full HT Gallo setup) appreciated.
Thanks,
