These puppies feature 40mm drivers made of lightweight, durable PET material, housed in a vented enclosure. According to the company, a lot of their latest technologies were implemented into this design. An example of this are the drivers they used. These were developed by using their Dynamic Balance process design which, according to the company, uses the variables of materials technology and diaphragm geometry to discover the right balance for better performance. Another technology found is the POET (Polk Optimized Electro-acoustic Tuning) which refines the drivers even further to improve overall performance balance. Last, but not least, this product features SoundClear® Technology which emphasizes voice quality during a phone call whether you’re in a quiet room or a noisy vehicle.
Polk put a great deal of effort to include up to date technology like aptX® and AAC which deliver high-quality sound from your smartphone, tablet, computer or other compatible device. Near Field Communication (NFC) is also on-board to allow for ease of use and convenience. Just touch your Bluetooth device to pair and you are ready to go in a matter of seconds. Plus with a jog dial built into the right ear cup, you have intuitive one-finger audio and phone call control.
But what about power? These headphones are powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that provides 12 hours of playtime without recharging. As for comfort, these have been ergonomically designed with pivoting ear cups and its headband uses a lightweight, yet rugged aluminum hinge that enables the headphones to fold down into a compact size.This unit includes a single detachable cable with inline control.
