Hey all, I just finished setting up my new Yami 6080 and it came up with a polarity warning. It says both surround channels are in reverse polarity. I have triple checked and they are wired correctly. Is there anything that can cause it to think the polarity is reversed?

Also, I replaced my HTR6890 so I am very familiar with the menus and set-up procedure.

I've seen this mentioned here before. The consensus is that the auto set-up features of most receivers, while good and handy, are not perfect. If you're sure that you have all of the wires hooked up correctly, then don't worry about the polarity warning.

I'm assuming that this has a set-up microphone. The acoustics in the room may be throwing off the readings and causing it to think that the surrounds have reversed polarity.

That is what I had figured. It is 100% wired correct and sounds just fine. I know what out of phase sounds like and this is not. Cool, I manually set it up after that anyway.

I have the radio shack meter and have already tested it. All is well and balanced from the center seat. Thanks again.
