Hi, everybody,

The original remote control of my SR7500 receiver (the RC8500SR) is broken, so I need your help to know which other Marantz remote controllers can also operate the basic functions of my receiver?

How about this, for example?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190299458153&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

Or maybe this?

Thanks in advance for any help. ;)

Demetrio.

Hi Demetrio,

Como esta amigo?

Your best bet is to get a Logitech Harmony 550 for only $49.
It will have all the functions for your Marantz SR7500 receiver, and you can even program it exactly the way you want and with great macros too. And Logitech customer service will help you with all your requests, and give you all the functions you want and much more, they are the very best customer service people.
This remote is computer programmable, very easy to customize.
It is thee very best Universal Remote Control money can buy.

* From their web site: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/remotes/universal_remotes/devices/376&cl=US,EN

* Prices: http://www.shopping.com/xPO-Logitech-H550

* Videos: http://video.google.ca/videosearch?hl=en&q=Logitech+Harmony+550&um=1&ie=UTF=8&ei=etk65sPDMIe0+APmzfnzCg&sa=X&oi=video_result_group&resnum=10&ct=title#

Roberto

P.S. Just forget your two own examples.

Hi, Bob, I'm fine my dear friend. :cool:

Well, where can I find the Logitech control you suggested? Will I need to program it even for the basic operation of my SR7500, or it already comes programmed for that? :confused:

Kind regards,
Demetrio.

You install the drivers and then connect to the Internet to program the remote.
The Marantz SR7500 is in their massive library of remote codes.

I have the 550 and it is a nice remote. But I still prefer the remote of the SR6003 :D

Demetrio, I just gave you three links. The first one for learning about it.
The second one, to see where it's available and at what price.
And three, to complete the full package, bunch of videos informing you of what it's all about.
Do you want me to bring it to you at home, and program it for you? :)

You have to do your part now.

I'm sure that you can get it at Amazon Brazil, or any other sites in your country.

Kind regards to you too,

Roberto

Wise zasse. :D
LOL :D

And just to add something meaningful to this post, I just want to say that now I only use my 550 as a portable remote codes library. It has codes that even the original remotes don't have.

LOL :) Took you a while to find that one. ;)

* And by the way, I've been strictly using my 550 now for over a year.
And it is theee best for the money and also for the easiness of using it.
And I can tell you that I used them all (well; not quite...).
