I just purchased a Infinity PS12 sub, Primus 360's and H/K240 (which is getting replaced with the Onkyo603) two weeks ago from CC.

My Subwoofer after playing some good BASS music for about 1 1/2 hours didn't want to play anymore for certain songs and it was making sounds like clicking/popping inside. I turned it off for awhile, then tried again and it was fine.

Last night i was just watching NORMAL TV using my system and after a few hours the SUB did it again..

BAD SUB?
Or what?

Thanks

Doesnt CC have a 30-day return policy? I would exchange it for a new one and if you dont have the problem anymore then it was just a bad sub.

How much did that sub cost you?

Exchange or return it. Have you run any kind of calibration? Is there a chance that you are just pushing the sub too hard? Most mass market subs aren't that great.

Try in the following order,

1) Check cables, power and signal (if this does not work go to point 3)
2) Calibrate (this will tell you if the sub is underpowered for your needs)
3) Exchange for new one
3b) Calibrate (realize that you dont like the sub after all... just kidding :D )
4) Return, use the funds for a much better sub from different manufacturer
