Hi everyone , this is a lovely forum

I have a pair of DIY speakers and everything works fine . now , i want to add an extra woofer in each cab . when i opened the cab , i saw some capacitors in the box . so , what the capacitors do in the cabs ? and when i adding a new woofer to existing cab , should i add some capacitors too ?

my new woofer's impedance is 8 ohms , they are cool :)

thanks for your help

Allow me to begin by stating that if you know not in what capacity a capacitor serves a speaker, you are in waaaaay over your head.

A capacitor's function is simply to store electricity. It is most likely part of a passive crossover for your speaker.

and when i adding a new woofer to existing cab , should i add some capacitors too ?
To what end?

Put down the screwdriver, and back away from the speaker.:)
Buy a sub woofer.
