Hello everyone,
Pleasant evening-
60% music and 40% home entertainment.
I need some input on certain things, because I am trying to set up a home theater 5.1 system and also use it for music. But I dont know what else to do so please tell me what else do I need to power these speakers up? Someone suggested Primaluna? idk!
or anything else you folks can please suggest. I am a newbie who just want a decent system please. Anything helps, so I currently have the following..

Yamaha receiver:
-RXA2020

Speakers:
-Totem Hawks
-Arros
-Mites center

Thanks for your time and have a nice one.

Well you've already got the receiver and 5 speakers. So from what I see all you need is a subwoofer to get the .1 and a source.

- What is your budget for a subwoofer?
- What do you plan on playing music from?
- You mentioned home theater use as well, do you need a bluray player?
- Do you have the necessary wires (speaker wire, hdmi, rca, etc)?

Im thinking you are going to need a decent amp to push your front 3.... and a sub, what size room? and whats the rest of your budget look like, since you are already approaching 10K, lol...

Maybe a crown xls amp for the front 2 or emo xpa3 for the front 3 and a pair of hsu subs depending on room size...

I'm sorry I left out my subwoofer, I purchased a Definitive Tech Prosub for $300 dollar NIB.

Yes I have a blu-ray player and dvd player and also a 55" HDTV, all by Samsung. Wires are connected via HDMI2 cables.
I have speaker cables and sub woofer cables by Monster and Audioquest (inexpensive ones)

Music from computer source and cds, hardly records

Does he need the extra Watts per channel? Doesn't his 2020 already do 140Wx9 channels? The website says recommended power is 30-120W for the Hawks.. I'll admit my understanding of the power ratings is limited, just curious :)

@aqcmiu: Did you hook them up and they weren't loud enough for your room?

Yes they seem like weak wirhth my setup versus how Ive auditioned them
Ofc they were fed by over 5oo+ amps. Certainly I cant afford that. I think I dont want to spend more than 15oo for an amp.

Maybe I dont know how to set them up correctly, please help

Thanka for everyones time
