Please help me choose between x6500h and x4300h for my system

OK so, I had the 4300h and was going to get it again as I am setting up my HT room again.
I will have to get a used Denon 3803 or similar amp to drive my mains and use the other 4300h amps to drive my other speakers as I run a 7.2.4 atmos system.
I also have 3 subs and a jvc projector.
It seems even used prices for the 4300h are high.
I started thinking.. What if I get the 6500h instead?
Then I won't need the extra amp since that one is 11 amps already.
Plus I get a bit more power overall and some features I am curious about like imax enhanced or even auro3d.
Is Imax enhanced that big a deal in terms of sound?
I am looking at about $500 price difference to get the 6500h (minus the price of adding the amp for the 2 extra channels I will need for the 4300).

If they were brand new, I would get the x6500 for a few dollars more.

But for used AVR, that’s trickier since you have to weigh cost vs unknown factors.

Which one is actually in better working condition? You have to make assumptions.

And what’s the cost between used vs new? No warranty vs 3YR warranty?

Those are good points. Right now I am looking at around $1000 for the 4300h which seems higher than the $800 pricing I used to see but then again, they all seem to be selling at higher prices now thanks to covid...and $1500 for the 6500h which has only like 3 months left of warranty . The 4300h has none.

I would take the 6500 for reasons you mentioned, and used it right away as much as possible and try as many features as you can including those you may never use. If it works trouble free for even 1 month, it should likely last for many more years.

Put a quiet fan on top or the side to keep it cool though.

Pulling or pushing?
Guess the price at this point with the world situation is ok then?
Thank you!!

Considering the current shortage situation, the price seem fair assuming the unit is in top shape physically and in 100% working order, otherwise not really. That's just my 0.00002 cents. The AVR-X3700H may be a good alternative if you can find a refurbished unit from AC4L or a dealer demo with warranty and preferably one that was made before April 2021, that is before they replaced the DAC IC.

Thank you very much for your help.
I have not heard imax enhanced yet but I figured, having extra features and not having to add 2 more channels is worth it for more future proofing :)

Well I got a local with a 4400h for $750 and looks great so I think I am going with that one and save money. Adding the 3803 for $150 is still $900 which is a lot of savings over the 6500 and sure does not have IMAX Enhanced but after getting a lot of feedback about it, it seems to not be worth it IMO.
