Hi audioholics,
I came here from hydrogenaudio for some advice. I'm trying to setup a decent sound system for music and movies. Looking to get a 5.1 amp, 2 speakers now, and a 5.1 system eventually. The sound and video source is my PC, and I don't care for any video signal processing or DSP effects on sound. In fact I would ideally want to have a receiver that would just amp 5.1 sound channels without any extra fancy options, but is there even such a product, I can't find one?

Just want to have a good, clean, balanced sound. Don't need extreme volume or crazy bass.

I live in Turkey and the prices on components are very high compared to USA and even Europe. I have a limited budget so I've looked hard for some parts and came up with these:

Speakers (2x, new):
Definitive Technology Studio Monitors 450 - $480
Behringer 2030P - $240
Dali AXS 5000 - $400
Dali AXS 3000 - $320
Jamo E650 - $360
Yamaha NS-P420 - $320

So, would you comment on these options? thanks.

FYI, My amp options that I will pair up are the following:

Amps:
Onkyo TX-DS575 (2nd hand) - $400
Onkyo TX-DS484 (2nd hand) - $360
Pioneer VSX-D711 (2nd hand) - $320
Pioneer VSX-D514 (new) - $320

I've owned the SM450s. The Audio Critic did a review on them. Bottom line, the SM450s are very smooth and accurate sounding speakers that will go down to 50 Hz. They compared the SM450s to the B&W Matrix 800s towers and found that except for the lower bass, the SM450s were almost as good as the B&W 800 Matrix speakers in sound quality. In the female voice, the B&Ws were a little better. In the male voice, they were dead equal. The bigger and a lot more expensive B&W had lower bass, of course. But the SM450s could go down to about 50 Hz of bass.
