I bought a 60gb at Walmart on Jan 3 for $599.00. They had 12. My problem now is getting the special component cable, which does not appear to be readily available. I e-mailed us.playstation.com and hope to get an answer soon. Without the correct cable, the PS3 will go back to Walmart. Anyone know where to get a cable no. 10100? I tried a PS2 component cable. It worked, but the picture was lousy.

I bought a component cable from Best Buy for $25 built for the PS3. Its not the sony one, but it works well.

i went into a costco in iowa and they had a crate full of them..so if you have one locally check there..PS3s that is....i dont know about the cable

Amazon.com, circuitcity.com, pricegrabber.com and others have the Monster ps3 hd cable with a/v audio or digital audio choices. They range from $60 to $70.

I used the PS2 cable with my PS3 and it worked perfectly fine and looks great - check your setup. I set it to 720p and I am pretty impressed at what the PS3 is capable of. Waiting for my HDMI -> DVI cable from BlueJeans right now though....

My brother has the 360 and I have to say the PS3 looks better overall - the better lookign games look noticably superior on the PS3 to me. Is it worth the price difference? Not at this point IMO, but once the good titles start to come out it will be no contest.

Hows the Blu-ray player?

I'm interested in getting the PS3 but had heard (not exactly a reliable source) that they were having problems with the Blu-ray players built in the PS3. Has anyone heard the same or experienced any problems?
