Players? Roon, Audirvana and?

Both Qobuz and Tidal have players, but I have some older music and download a few DSDs and they don't support other than their own - or I am missing something. My only experience besides the streaming players (Tidal, Qobuz) are Roon and Audirvana (and my phone app). Both seem to massage the sound a bit (pun intended). The same track sounds different to me depending on player.
I have not figured out the Roon equivalent of the Audirvana "Recently Added" which I like. I also think Roon makes another copy of the on-disc media and saves it someplace else.
I *feel* that Roon sounds better.

I do not have an MQA DAC, and while MQA rendering was important, I have the bandwidth and DSD downloads that MQA unfolding matters less than it did.

So, what players do you use, what should I look at?
My 90 day Roon trial is almost over.

I am a Roon user and really like it. Offers me the ability to have an nearly unlimited number of end points in my house and a great interface. The overview page shows my recently added. You can also just sort by date added in the album view. I have not really noticed any sound difference from using Roon vs. the LMS squeeze player I was using before. All of my music is either 16bit or 24bit flac.

My kid is the only one who downloads music from Tidal which get a little T in the corner so you know it is from there vs. your library.

Thanks. I never thought to look at the Overview page. You may have made Roon a year$ subscription.
I only listen at my work desk - where I am a lot. So the other end points in my house was not really an issue.

Well the cool thing about the way Roon Core works is that if you do set one up at home you can just transfer your license back and forth between work and home.
