plasma wall mount wiring

i am new to the forum and have a few newbie questions about hanging a new plasma tv on my wall with the cables running in the wall.

my brother is an electrician and I am going to ask him to help me install a power outlet on the wall so it will be located behind the TV. I found a "clock receptacle" at home depot and it looks like it will help reduce the profile of the plug as it sticks out of the outlet. does this make sense? is there anything else I should consider regarding the power source?

I will be placing a cabinet under the wall mount tv to hold a DVD player and play station game consol so my other cables will only need to run behind the wall for about three feet. (ie. enter the wall behind the cabinet and exit the wall behind the TV). I am just trying to figure out if there is a simple but clean wall opening or connector that I can use to get the cables into the wall and then back out - other than a hole cut in the drywall. I will only be running an HMDI cable, a cable for the playstation (either s-video or 3 prong AV cable - it one better than the other), and the samsung "anynet" cable at this point.

thanks in advance for any help.

IIRC, Panamax makes a special wall plug like you're talking about that also has the benefit of built in surge protection. (It may be another manufacturer like Belkin or Trip lite...but it's out there)
