Just ordered a Pioneer 4360HD and a BDI Axis TV Stand (cherry-stained wood with glass tops), do I need to secure the metal stand which inserts into the TV itself to the glass top??? Thanks, just getting started on my HT set-up and don't want to screw anything up!

The display and stand together weigh near 90 pounds so it ain't going anywhere. If the glass is thick enough and/or supported to take the weight you'll be fine............unless you've got little kids, then all bets are off :D

Many plasmas come with wall anchors that allow you to bolt it to the wall behind it with wires so that the plasma won't accidentally tip forward. This isn't really a major concern, but if you do have kids then you may want to consider what would happen if one of them fell into the stand hard enough...

Not just the beautiful plasma falling - but landing on a child. Both of which are costly - but one of which is irreplacable.

Your decision which.
