Plasma Extended Service Plans

I recently purchased two Panasonic plasma televisions and can't decide wether or not to purchase an extended service plan. I've read articles for both pros and cons. If I do decide to purchase one, where is the best pricing? Thanks

From what I have read here and my own personal opinion most extended warrantys are like insurance, not geared towards your favor. Instead of being useful most of the time you are paying for the piece of mind that your Plasma, in this case, is protected if the manufacturer did not provide either a sufficient warrenty or did not make a high quality product.

I've bought extended warranties in the past and NEVER needed them. But I have had electronics break on me. So it's up to you. If it helps you sleep at night, then I guess it's worth the money.

Darned if you do, Darned if you don't ! It is a gamble you'll have to take. Shop around though as prices vary. Wait till the last of your factory warranty & the mfg. will come up with a decent price probably. Good luck.
