I have a plasma display from a few years ago with component inputs as well as a standard vga input. How do I know if this display supports progressive scanning?

Thanks

All plasma displays to my knowledge support at least 480p signals.

Have you looked up the model specs on the manufacturer's website?

Yeah, they don't have a listing for that display any longer :) I've been looking on the web and it seems to support it. I used to have DirectTV HD and off air HD playing on the screen so I guess that should tell me that it supports it.

Thanks.

Yev, it's always a good idea to supply the readers with brands and model numbers of the equipment, so they can help you faster and better.
I don't know of any plasmas that doesn't play a component video signal.

Don't you have a DVD player hooked up to your plasma thru component video cables? And it plays without any problems, right?
