I would like to know more about this phenomena. Is there a good website to read about this? I want to know know about the truths and myths on this subject.

Burn in has been discussed to death at avsforum.com. Do a search in the plasma and direct view sections and you will find threads with hundreds of replies on the subject. That would be a good start.
