Planning a HT system for my parents. Any Reciever suggestions?

Here's what I'm planning to put together for my parents' HT system. Ascend CBM-340SE Mains + Center, Ascend CBM-170SE for surround, and either a SVS-PB12-Plus or the PB12-Plus/2. I'll also probably go with an Oppo DVD player too. I'm looking for a receiver that can driver everything properly, price right now is not a major issue since I'm looking for any suggestions, the price just has to be somewhere reasonable. I would like to try and keep the system under $3500 if possible. Does anybody have any suggestions for me?

How big is their room/space (cu. ft.), including any adjoining open space?

there's about 16' from the north wall to the south wall. and about 15' from the west wall to the east wall. In the south wall as in the picture there is an opening to the kitchen dining area and stairs leading up to the next floor. The room is more like a den. and has an 8' ceiling on the west wall and a 13' ceiling everywhere else. There is also a pinball machine in the south west corner of the room next to the stairs and a fireplace on the east wall.
