PJ on UPS, everything else on H15?

Hello everyone. Long time reader, first time poster.

I've got a dilemma I thought I would be able to solve through searching, but after a couple of hours searching while I was bored at work, I didn't find the answer I was looking for.

My question is; Is it a bad idea to have my projector on a UPS (say, liquidation priced SmartUPS from Circuit City) and the rest of my equipment on a power conditioner (say, H15 from audioholics)?

I found a thread or two suggesting having having a power conditioner and ups in line with each other was a bad idea, but nothing on having the two in the configuration I'm thinking about.

I really need an upgraded power unit on my rack to power my Onkyo 7.1 HTIB, DVD recorder, cable box, media PC, Wii, Xbox360 and whatever else might makes it's way into the setup. My projector is ceiling mounted roughly 30 ft. away.

Initially I wanted to go with the APC J15 because it consolidated everything; power filter, voltage regulation, multiple outlets, battery backup, the works. But given the sweet sale by Audioholics on the H15 and reasonably priced UPSs I've begun to think the much cheaper solution would work just as well.

Any thoughts on potential issues with having everything plugged into the H15 power filter except for the PJ and PC plugged into a UPS across the room?

Sorry for the length. Thanks in advance!

-Johnny

Well, that's what I basically do. The UPS is only connected with projector.

Thanks for the replies. I hooked my PJ and PC up to my new APC Over the weekend and Monday night had a power outage while gaming after watching a movie, worked like a charm.
