Pixel Orbiting Question

Hey guys,

I just bought a TC-P58S1 for gaming, and am doing the best I can to make sure I'm smart about image retention (breaking it in with the break-in slide show, keeping gaming to a minimum at first, etc).

I was wondering about the pixel orbiter. I currently have the TV set on "HD Size 2" so that each of the pixels is matched 1:1 to the source. Does anyone know if the pixel orbiter works in this setting, or if I need some degree of overscan?

Also, does anyone know if the "Automatic" pixel orbiter setting is better than setting it on manual at a certain time interval?

Thanks a lot, guys! I defer to your wisdom. :)

For what it's worth, I just called Panasonic's "Viera Concierge" and the rep told me that HD Size 2 does NOT deactivate the pixel orbiter. Can't imagine how that works since there's no overscan, but I suppose they're the experts.

Hopefully that info will also help someone else; I couldn't find the answer anywhere online (and based on the # of views, no one else knew either!).

The pixel orbiter will not make a difference if you manually set your HD size. Keep it set to automatic. The set is intuitive in that respect.
