I just got a Pioneer VSX9700 from a trusted co-worker who said it was always good to him. It worked fine yesterday when it was all hooked up, and this morning - now it won't turn on. The LED on the volumn knob lights up, and you hear the sub click on but thats it. I checked the owners mannual and all its says is that an internal surge protector may have flipped and that unplugging it and plugging it back in should reset it, I did that to no avail. I've been searching online for hours and can't find much on this reciever. I know its acient, but its way better than my old one. Any reccomendations? My b/f doesn't want to put too much more money into it, but I have faith it can be revived. Even if all anyone can do is link me to a schematic that would be very helpful.

Sorry my first post is a plea for help, I just found this board tonight. Looks like alot of useful stuff here. I hope this issue hasn't been posted before - I did a search but got nothing.

Ok now Im at a total loss, this morning it turned on. The only thing that has changed is the dish network reciever (was plugged into an s-video port) was taken off. But we did that last night and it wouldn't turn on.
