Pioneer VSX-818 and 918

These receivers are rated at 120 watts...I am getting the speaker company LCR2 rated 10-100w....Will this Pioneer work? for my speakers..I heard that Most receivers don't run what the company says. If that's the case, What wattage does these receivers run??:confused:

Every receiver is different, but in general:

HK underrates their receivers
Marantz and Denon usually hit their stated specs
Onkyo usually comes close to their states specs
Sony, Pioneer, and Yamaha overrate their receivers

The 918 was measured at about 37 wpc into 5 channels. See the following which includes measurements:

That said, 37 wpc is likely enough if your speakers aren't particular hard to drive.

Either of those receivers will work just fine for those speakers.
You won't blow speakers because of too much power. You'll more than likely damage them due to an underpowered receiver being pushed beyond it's limits. The Pioneers are not underpowered.
