I'm a newb so I apologize for anything ignorant that I say! I purchased a Pioneer VSX-522, and it sound good for what I use it for. I've read through the manual and understand most of it. I do have one issue that I have done some research on and haven't found any info on.
I have a DVD player hooked up through an HDMI cable. I popped in a DVD last night and the previews started and it played through the first preview and when the second preview started, I had no sound. I switched the input selector knob to another selection and then back to DVD. Poof... the sound was back. Same thing at the end of preview number 2. and at the end of the previews, when it went to the DVD menu, no sound. I watched the entire movie without an issue, but no matter what I do, I get no sound until I switch the input. Any ideas?
