That particular model of pioneer doesn't even have pre-amp outs. So your stuck with the wattage of the receiver itself.

The back of pioneer receivers seems to be very organized, and clean i have noticed. I like that.

He is referring to the other receiver, Buckeyefan 1. The 515 does have a pre out for the sub, but that's it. MSRP is $275.

$1700 is a long way from $275, Buckeyefan 1, but you picked the receiver that's at the top of my want list. Dual 48 bit Motorola's and 45 lbs, awesome. ;)

Not sure I would put it in an unfinished basement though. :)

well unfortunatly it was either this or take the older harmon kardon reciever from last year that was 60wpc so i took this - i was a bit skeptic about it, but i guess i could live with the fact that it doesnt have s-video :(

Other then that, i just have to figure out how im going to connect all stuff to it
including xbox,tv, dvd, satelite and what not
ill figure it out,if not ill post somethin lol

One of the best things about having all these toys to play with, IMO, is the setting up part. Figuring it all out, tuning it up, and tweaking gives me a lot of satisfaction. Of course there's the listening part too. :)

Don't hesitate to call if you need help with something. ;)

The 814 is great. I think the only difference with the new 815 is that it does WMA-Pro decoding as well.

I see. I'm thinking to buy either that yamaha htr-5840 or the vsx-815.

I just got the Pioneer 56TXi and just love it. It fills my living room with rich and clear sound. A definite upgrade from my VSX-810S

Alrighty, so i hooked everything up properly
the only thing i find odd is, to get to listen to normal talking on dvd,
u have to raise the vol up to 60%

is this right?
